System  Description

The Heat Shrink Coating System is a highly effective solution designed for corrosion protection and waterproofing of pipelines, fittings, bends, and irregular components. It is composed of a pre-coated bitumen adhesive layer and cross-linked polyethylene backing, which shrink when heated, ensuring strong adhesion to metal surfaces and forming a durable protective barrier. This system is widely used in oil and gas pipelines, water pipelines, and industrial metal structures to enhance longevity and performance.

 

Construction:  Three-layer system

- First layer: Liquid epoxy primer CP-1, solvent-free two-component
- Second layer: High shear strength hot-melt copolymer adhesive
- Third layer: Radiation cross-linked, high density polyethylene backing
 

Product Components

1. Heat Shrink Tape

   • Designed for wrapping around pipe joints, fittings, and elbows.
   • After wrapping, a closure patch must be applied for a secure seal.

2. Heat Shrink Sleeve

   • Installed by sliding it over the pipeline before heating.
   • Ideal for complete seamless protection of straight pipes and curved fittings.

3. Epoxy Primer

   • 100% solvent-free, high-temperature, two-component epoxy.
   • Enhances adhesion and provides additional corrosion resistance.

4. Repair Patch

   • Designed for sealing damaged coatings to ensure continued protection.

 

 

Product  Features

 

- Excellent multifunctional adhesive allow for lower installation pre-heat temperature and 

super bonding to PE, PP and FBE, offer fully resistant to shear forces induced by soil and thermal movements.

- Superior cathodic disbondment and hot water immersion resistance offers the optimum barrier long term protection against corrosion.
- Saves time & cost by lower preheat temperature, wet epoxy primer application.
- Pattern backing provides a "heating temperature indicator" for application of heat, ensures correct application heating.

PP shrink sleeve is a wrap-around, heat-shrinkable sleeve designed for corrosion prevention and sealing on various types of piping systems. While installing, PP shrink sleeve starts shrinking form its expanded size to form a tight fit around the substrate.
