Usage Instructions

1. Covering the Insertion Site:

   • Use Tegaderm or other sterile transparent dressings to cover the insertion site.

2. Securing the Catheter:

   • Secure the catheter using tape, Statlock (as shown), or other securement devices.

   • Ensure no non-sterile items are placed under the dressing (if gauze is used, change the dressing every 24 hours or as per protocol).

3. Securing the Tubing:

   • Use two strips of tape, pinched underneath to elevate the tubing off the skin, preventing skin breakdown.

 

Precautions

1. Sterile and Single-Use Only:

   • This product is sterile and for single use only. Do not reuse.

2. Package Inspection:

   • Do not use if the packaging is damaged.

3. Intended Use:

   • This device is not a substitute for sutures, hemostasis, or skin disinfection.

   • Not suitable for arterial catheter fixation.

4. Infection Control:

   • Do not use if the wound is already infected or ulcerated.

   • If signs of infection (e.g., redness, swelling, exudation, fever) occur during use, discontinue immediately or increase the frequency of dressing changes as advised by a physician.

5. Dressing Selection and Application:

   • Select the appropriate dressing size and apply it naturally to the skin without pulling, to avoid tension or skin damage.

6. Removing the Dressing:

   • Take care when removing the dressing to avoid dislodging the catheter or other devices underneath.
